yep, this is basically how I spent my weekend - picking apples, squashing apples, guzzling fresh #cider & appreciating last year’s #fermented cider. New England autumns are rough….. (at CiderFest 2014)
Brendan over at @bondircambridge is making good use of his new #handcrafted plates. This dish being
Smoked Beet, Bluefish & Sauce Gribiche. Think I would have #fermented the beets but I guess that’s why I’m the #potter & he’s the #chef… ;)
my pup’s all about sticking it to the man…. I think I trained her well.
Creative staging including my pitcher from a creative friend! Repost via @emmykateh, “Fresh cut | Seasonal coffee table scene featuring favorite flowers and a beautiful handcrafted pitcher.”
Man, I hope when @townsmanboston is serving up creative food like this off my plates I am their eternal guinea pig…. Repost via @MatthewJennings: “Recipe testing continues tonight with braised chicken thighs, chard, chorizo, dates and green olives. #winterwarmers #recipetesting #townsmantease”
had a *blast* at the #Boston #Fermentation Festival this past weekend! Sold a few dozen crocks, ran a competitive Pickle-off with 10 pro picklers, mobilized over 2 dozen volunteers who ran an awesome & tight ship, processed over 200 pounds veggies at our streetside kraut mob, and coordinated 15 speakers on 2 speaker stages. It was a ton of planning work but well worth the effort! And every crock included @Sandorkraut’s early book, Wild Fermentation, and many folks who picked up a crock/book combo got their book autographed by Sandor himself. fest info at bostonferments.com. get ready for 2015! So proud to be collaborating with such a thoughtful & talented chef. check out this repost via @matthewjennings, “Sometimes the best part of building a restaurant, is meeting people who are equally as passionate about contributing to what that restaurant will become. If you missed it, check out today’s @bostonglobe article on one of the faces behind @townsmanboston: @bostonpotter. #artisan #handmade”
